Alex is an awarded producer working across short and feature film, primetime television, online, commercial, music video and video installation formats—with experience in theatrical distribution.
For two years Alex delivered compelling content for clients that include eBay & VICE, SEEK, Sensis and Devondale under creative production houses HOOVES and PLOT Media.
Additional long-form production credits include NOWHERE BOYS: THE BOOK OF SHADOWS (ABC / Matchbox), DANCE ACADEMY (Film Victoria supported producer attachment, Werner Film Productions), PLEASE LIKE ME (ABC) and Production Manager of Gregory Erdstein's feature comedy THAT'S NOT ME (Moccasin).
Alex's short films have been programmed by every major Australian film festival (MIFF Accelerator, Sydney FF Dendy Awards, Flickerfest, St Kilda FF), notching nominations and wins along the way, screening at some of the world's most selective international film festivals. In 2017, TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW written & directed by Sunday Emerson Gullifer was selected as one of just 16 shorts worldwide to have its international premiere at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, USA—in a program co-curated by director Barry Jenkins (MOONLIGHT).
She was the Associate Producer and Digital Engagement Manager of Shorty Award-winning multiplatform AR fantasy experience, THE WESTBURY FAERY (2017) by PLOT Media, after working alongside Tait Brady at boutique Australian distribution company, Label Distribution in 2016.
Alex has a background in integrated marketing communications through her Bachelor of Professional Communications with Distinction (RMIT) and holds a Masters of Producing from the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne—where in 2014 she was named VCA Producer of the Year.
In 2018 Alex joined EXIT Melbourne as a Jr Producer.
