DESTINY opens at ACCA

The film adaptation of Aphids’ 8hr live-performance EASY RIDERS is here: DESTINY!

A new art film from the artist inimitable, Eugenia Lim and Aphids, was made in collaboration with on-demand gig economy workers and explores personal and global experiences of the platform economy. A big, fat, clever laugh at Uber, really. The work premieres at Southbank’s Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) from Dec 4 2021 to March 20 2022 as part of the gallery’s returning physical exhibition, ‘Who’s Afraid of Public Space?’.

After having its world premiere at MIFF 2021 in the Accelerator Shorts program, our film THE BENDS has been nominated for the Australian Academy of Cinematic and Television Arts (AACTA) Award for Best Short Form Drama in 2021.

Edinburgh, Melbourne, Palm Springs, Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston… she’s hot. Created by an all-star team of Australian LGBTQIA+ filmmakers, we’re thrilled to see audiences around the world embrace our 6-minutes of very queer, very Covid, very Melbourne spirit.

In the midst of melbourne’s covid-19 lockdown, Jamie finds reprieve from the monotony of isolation through their imagination, sensuality and some help from iconic onscreen queer characters.

OFFICIAL SELECTION: MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Yeowza, two short films I produced last year will have their world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival 2015.

'Euxine' written & directed by Tess Hutson, and 'The Phoenix' written & directed by Nora Niasari and co-produced with Sally Storey, will screen in the ACCELERATOR 1 shorts package this August. The program will screen on Saturday August 8th & Sunday August 11th with more info and tickets available via MIFF here.
